About Us

Our Vision:

Central City Lutheran Mission is a community of partners assisting people on the margins of society, empowering people with health, hope, dignity and life changing opportunities.

Our Mission:

Through experiential learning, relationship building, and a safe nurturing environment, CCLM seeks to empower the community, develop leaders, promote community literacy, transform economic conditions, and improve health and safety. To facilitate this mission, CCLM provides healing, encouragement, food and housing to a community in need.

The Mission became nationally recognized as a holistic comprehensive community based ministry specializing in health, education and housing for people on the margins, under the leadership of Rev. David Kalke. He concluded his work with CCLM in January 2010. The Ministry continues its urgent work under interim experienced leadership.

Supportive Housing for persons with HIV/AIDS

Twelve sites offer the only housing in the whole area for homeless with HIV/AIDS. Cash donations are needed to make their stay possible. $100 a month helps pay utilities for one resident.
